NH man accused of assault tries to use wooden sticks to avoid arrest


BOW — A New Hampshire man accused of assault turns violent when police try to apprehend him.

According to police, calls came in on Saturday around 1:45 a.m. reporting an assault at All Town Convenience Store on Route 3A in Bow.

When responders arrived, the suspect had fled the scene and was hiding in a wooded area behind the store.

Police found Cobie Gregory 49, of Webster armed with wooden sticks trying to fight off responding officers.

Gregory was pepper sprayed and arrested after becoming belligerent, police report.

While in custody police say Gregory continued to act hostile, spitting, and fighting with officers.

Gregory is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, two counts of criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct.

Gregory was released on $10,000.00 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord on July, 24.
